Palazzo Rosadi

Torre del Cielo

Guestbook

There were 10 of us who stayed here at the villa for a week and we could all honestly say it was one of the best experiences ever. Rosado met us and explained everything to us and we were so impressed with his enthusiasm and knowledge. We loved hearing all about his wonderful villa which he restored himself....very proud family tradition. Everything about the villa was excellent....the garden, pool area, facilities in the kitchen and laundry plus the basic neck sitting for cooking were just like home...nothing was lacking ( only the washing machine cycle took forever)!!!! The location of this villa was superb and we visited all the local villages which were so quaint and small...no need to visit the big cities like Siena and Florence when you have local ones which have more atmosphere and ambience. Rosado recommended places to go to and everything he told us was spot on...La Citerna and Alighieri nearby were wonderful and had the best restaurant. We were lucky enough to enjoy a mediaeval festival as well as a polenta festival plus Rosado took us personally to a local monastery . The arrival meal which Rosado’s wife cooked was outstanding too. Without a doubt we would visit this villa again and can’t recommend it highly enough!!!! Many thanks Rosado....a true Italian gentleman.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Beautiful location with views like a painting. Rosado is a great pleasant helpful owner. The pool is very clean but unfortunately we had a plague of horseflies so we did not fully enjoy it. The house is very spacious and comfortable. However, the tower itself we did not take advantage of it (too dark and musty), so no one there wanted to sleep there but for the rest we made pleasant trips and we had good food and drinks

Beautiful villa in a stunning location! Mr Rosadi is so helpful and so friendly. This villa was everything we wanted and more, and I would absolutely recommend it. Kate S. - Hatfield (United Kingdom)

Torre Del Cielo is beautiful — inside and out. The gardens are spectacular. Really appreciated the excellent care given to the villa and grounds.

Rosado, our host, was terrific. Attentive, but not overly so. He organized a tour of a local monastery. No vineyard tour was included.

We scheduled both the chef prepared dinner and a cooking class. Both were fun and delicious — the dinner was exceptional. Well worth the extra cost. The villa is well equipped for cooking and dining in.

We were a group of seven — all recommend Torre Del Cielo. We did not use the tower bedroom — a bit musty smelling, but may be fine for some. We did use the tower bathroom during the day as it was nicely accessible when enjoying the grounds. All others are in the upper floor bedrooms.

Torre, extraordinary!!!!

We are six people who have traveled extensively in Europe over a period of
forty years. For months, we searched for a villa and a location that would
enhance our month long stay in Tuscany. We found it in Torre Del Cielo
where we had a glorious vacation during the month of September 2013.

While the photos on the web site are very representative of the property,
they cannot describe the beauty and vastness of the setting, The villa is
situated on a hill in a tiny hamlet. As you approach, you are surrounded by
thousands of acres of agricultural land. From our bedroom windows, looking
past the colorful and lush valley below, we could see the walled in medieval
town of Monterchi. The tranquility of the villa was a welcome refuge after
our hectic days of sight seeing.

The numerous amenities are well represented in the listing. What we did not
expect to find was an owner, Rosado Rosadi, who would become our guide to
’all things’ Italian. Rosado cares for his property daily and keeps it in
immaculate condition. Upon our arrival, not only did he and his wife provide
us with a beautiful welcome dinner, he proudly related, to us the history
of the villa and his family’s presence in the area, which dates back to the
12th century. Rosado is a master tour guide! Many times he would arrange
lunches and dinners for us as we day tripped away from the villa. He was
reachable at any time by cell phone, text, or email. Rosado was our guardian
and has become a trusted friend.

On several occasions, Rosado would leave us crates of freshly picked
vegetables and tomatoes from his garden. Our final night at the villa was
celebrated with Rosado and his father(as chef), at a wonderful "family" dinner.
The next morning, as we reluctantly packed our minivan for our trip to the
airport in Florence, Rosado, his mother, and his father appeared to say
goodbye to us. Unquestionably, this wonderful family helped to make our vacation "an experience of a lifetime."

We booked Torre Del Cielo over a year in advance. During that period, we
had so many questions, and Rosado responed to each one in a very timely
fashon.. Our emails became a daily occurrence as departure day approached.

There is NO OTHER place I would think of staying in Tuscany. Torre del
Cielo is situated very close to wonderful Umbria, and, of course, to all of
Tuscany.

This was a 3 week family vacation for my wife and me, 4 children and spouses. The location, quality of the villa, and the warmth and hospitality of the Rosadi family made it especially enjoyable. I agree wholeheartedly with the other comments posted, and will emphasize the personal attention we received from Mr. Rosadi. His availability and knowledge of the area and its history added depth to our experience, and gave us confidence that we would be well taken care of in whatever circumstances should arise. His tour of the valley was very instructive, and brought us to places we would not otherwise have found.
The views from the villa and surrounding areas are magnificent and pastoral at the same time. The eye doesn’t know where to look first.
This is truly a place to come to be renewed, to refresh relationships between family and friends, and enjoy the art, history hospitality and beauty that is Italy.
Do get acquainted with the proprietors of the local restaurants and the good people at the local grocery.
If you come, stay a while. The 3 weeks we had allowed our getting into the rhythm of Tuscany, and served to renew our spirits.
We will be back.

I was one of 5 women that rented out Torre Del Cielo this May. The house was lovely and the landscape and views were magnificent. Durng our stay we had many special needs such as renting road bikes, train schedules, seeing the Giro tour and questions regarding the small towns around Tuscany. Rosado, the owner was more than generous with his time and knowledge of the area. He also made us two meals and took us on a lovely tour of an out of the way monastery that turned out to be one of the many highlights of our trip. I urge anyone considering renting a house in Tuscany to rent Torre Del Cielo. It was a wonderful vacation because we stayed there.

Our group ( 4 couples ) booked this villa on the recommendation of work colleagues and the basis of reviews. We were not disappointed . The location on a hillside in Ripoli near Monterchi provides wonderful views and allows easy access to towns such as Citerna and Anghiari. Arezzo is half an hour away and worth a visit as well as providing access to the train to Florence. The villa is very comfortable with plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to relax and eat and drink. The tower is a must for afternoon drinks to enjoy the view down the valley. The kitchen is well equipped complete with dishwasher allowing groups to prepare their own meals. There are restaurants near Monterchi in Citerna ( the Belvedre), on the road to Citta Di Castello (Pieva la Vecchia) and at La Ville (pizzas). The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and ensuite bathrooms are clean and adequate. rosado, the owner, is extremely helpful and endeavours to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Overall, we all agreed it was the perfect way to spend two weeks in Italy.

What a wonderful experience!

The villa was in the most beautiful location overlooking the ancient town of Monterchi. It was just covered with flowers and fruit trees and had all of the comforts of home.

Mr. Rosadi was by every day to check on us and made our visit so very special. He was a delight to work with even before we arrived, helping us set up tours and answering all of our questions.

We look forward to staying with him again!

We were very pleased with this villa and thé owner could not havé been more helpful. The situation is ideal with a beautiful garden and pool. We enjoyed having air conditioning in the bedrooms particularly as we had some very hot weather during our stay. We can certainly recommend this villa to our friends which is ideal for families.
